Hey QBAS Family!
We are excited to announce the launch of the Second-year Diversity Leaders Internship program at McKinsey & Company Canada!
The Second-year Diversity Leaders Internship program (SDLI) provides a select group of Black, Hispanic, Latino, and/or Indigenous undergraduate students first-hand experience with consulting at McKinsey & Company. Candidates who are currently in their 2nd year of studies at Canadian universities are eligible to apply. As part of this unique program, SDLIs will have the opportunity to:
- Work in one of the following Canadian offices for 10-12 weeks: Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver
- Rotate through real-world experiences
- Engaging on the broad range of work McKinsey consultants do, including serving clients as well as helping to build McKinsey’s internal knowledge and capabilities
- Build critical new skills within a training program specifically designed for the Second-year Diversity Leaders Interns
- Participate in social activities throughout the summer to get to know our Firm culture, interact with other summer interns, as well as members of our affinity communities.
At the end of the summer, successful interns will receive an offer to join them as a Summer Business Analyst for the following summer or as a full-time Business Analyst after the completion of your degree.
Ideal candidates should possess the following attributes:
- 2nd year undergraduate students who plan to graduate in the spring of 2021
- Strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth
- Strong academic performance and an aptitude for analytics
- Initiative-taking and leadership skills in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities
- Resourceful, intellectually curious, empathetic, poised, high energy and mature
- Genuine interest in business and find problem solving exhilarating
- Enjoy working in teams

QBAS & EQUIP PRESENTS REAL TALKS - QUEERNESS IN NON-WHITE SPACES

Real Talks is back and better than ever! This event will be a discussion on queerness in non-white spaces. "Real Talks" is moderated by a structured set of questions, as well as questions from the audience.
Come out to speak, listen and learn about the intersections of queerness for people of colour in non-white spaces! If you're looking for good, diverse dialogue on topics within the Black community, this is the place! You won't want to miss this!

QBAS FIRST YEAR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

QBAS is proud to launch our First Year Mentorship Program. We recognize how valuable mentorship can be in both personal and professional development, and hope this program will allow first year students to feel more welcome at Queen’s. We encourage students in third year or above to apply to share their knowledge and experiences with younger students, helping them develop as they begin their undergraduate careers. Applications for both mentors and mentees will close Wednesday November 14th at 11:59 PM.

This event is targeted towards undergraduate students in their 1st-3rd year of studies who identify as Black, Hispanic, Latino and/or Indigenous.
